Remember the days when certain occupations were “a job for life”, whether in the private or public sector. When did you ever hear of solicitors and Bankers losing their jobs., or Council workers and people from the Police or Army. There is no certainty any more. Remember the days when, at the end of your working life, you were guaranteed a pension. Not a ludicrous amount of money each week necessarily, but enough to ensure that you could get on with your life. Remember the days when you could invest and you could realise that investment within months and then move onto the next venture. Those days are no longer with us.

Property Investments
France. Fixed rate mortgages of c.4% are available for the term of the mortgage. An unexpected rise in overheads will always have a damaging impact on an investment,
therefore choosing a mortgage at such a low fixed level allows you a significantly greater chance of success.
Finland. This is our own development and is partially funded by the Finnish Government.
These savings are then passed on to the buyer.
Investments through Pensions
It is now possible to convert frozen pensions or under performing funds into a SIPP.

It is very difficult to know where to invest these days, but what is obvious from what the Government is telling us, is that if we don’t take care of our own future ourselves, our retirement is less certain and secure than it used to be.
In previous years ie before the recession, in the sense of our financial outlook, we were all sailing on the crest of a wave. Now it feels like the recession will never end. Neither are true. History tells us that this market always works on a cycle. What history also tells us, is that when buying, the better deals can be obtained in a recession ie when the developers are selling less and therefore the property deals they offer are likely to be more favourable for the buyer.
